  5. 5. Why Alternative Fuels at the INL Executive Order 13514 - Establishes an integrated strategy towards sustainability in the Federal Government. Federal Fleet Requirements: Increase alternative fuel use by 10% from previous year starting from FY05 baseline Reduce annual petroleum use by 2% each year from FY05 baseline to 2020 Improvement of fleet fuel economy Installation of renewable fuel pumps at Federal fleet fueling centers Its The Right Thing to Do!

Lessons Learned Fueling infrastructure Compliant dispensers, pumps, tanks for alternative fuels Fuel tank management Aggressive fuel tank monitoring to ensure product integrity Product management Ensure Fuel Specifications are complete Ensure all products meet appropriate ASTMs Bio must be BQ900 Delivery paper trail including Certificate of Analysis (COA) Test each fuel delivery for compliance to Specifications
