Inside Eileen Davidson's 'passionate relationship' with JonVoight

Hollywood has long produced some of the most unlikely and unexpected romantic relationships.

And in yet another recently unearthed surprise coupling, newest Real Housewives Of Beverly Hillscastmember Eileen Davidson has been revealed to have had an A-list romance with none other

than Angelina Jolie's famous father.

RadarOnline reports that Eileen and Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight embarked on a 'very passionaterelationship' lasting for several years beginning in the late '80s.

Indeed, the then-30-year-old and her 50-year-old lover certainly looked besotted with one another

as they hit the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards in 1989, their arms wrapped tenderlyaround each other as they laughed wholeheartedly.

'Eileen and Jon had a very passionate relationship,' a source tells the website, adding: 'She hadalways hoped to break away from a career in soap operas, and thought Jon could help.'

With the bubbly blonde having starred in several long-running TV dramas over the years - includingThe Young And The Restless for the past three decades and Days Of Our Lives for 21 years - theirrelationship clearly didn't have quite the effect on her career that she had hoped.

The pair did, however, star together in 1990 film Eternity before going their separate ways - their20-year age difference likely playing a part in their amicable split.

While their romance fizzled out long before marriage was even on the cards, had they wed, it wouldhave made Eileen, now 55, stepmother to none other than Angelina Jolie.

However, according to the insider, the soap star 'had no involvement with Jon's kids, Angelina andJames Haven'.

Jon, now 75, married actress Marcheline Bertrand in 1971, though they separated in 1976 beforefiling for divorce two years later.

Legup? While a source reveals that the then-30-year-old hoped her relationship with the actingheavyweight could help her 'break away from a career in soap operas', apart from co-starring in1990 film Eternity shortly before their split, it didn't have the desired effect

During their union, the couple had two children - son James Haven, now 41, and daughter Angelina,39, who is an Academy Award-winner just like her famous father these days.Â

Following his short-lived dalliance with Eileen, the star went on to have romances with German

actress and model Nastassja Kinski and singer Diana Ross but has remained a bachelor ever since.

Eileen, meanwhile, was married to Santa Barbara actor Christopher Mayer from 1985 till 1986.

She then wed General Hospital star Jon Lindstrom in 1997, before calling it quits in 2000.

According to Star magazine, it was during her second marriage that she fell for her Young And TheRestless co-star Vince Van Patten, who was married to his wife of 12 years at the time.

The publication claims that their alleged affair resulted in 'bitter divorces' for both parties, though

it all worked out in the end, with the couple going on to marry and having been together ever since.

They have an 11-year-old son, Jesse.
