    SPLITS AND CHEATS

Offensive Line/TE = 2 Foot PSTE may over split vs. 9 technique

Backside may cheat their splits depending on

the front RBs toes are at 7 yards.

When we run inside the Tackles we want to

widen our splits. When we run outside the

Tackles we want to reduce our splits.

RBs AIMING POINT Take a pre-snap look to locate the bubble

Aiming point for the RB depends on where the

bubble is located (bubble = gap not defended by

    a down lineman)

If the bubble is located over the Guard (B-gap)aim for the inside hip of the Tackle

If the bubble is located over the Center (A-Gap)

or Tackle aim for outside hip of the Guard

RB must press the B-gap in order to bringPSLB into mate block and seal BSLB away from

    cutback.

READ The read is the helmet of the first defensive

lineman head up on the center to play side. If his helmet goes inside cram the ball up field

    just outside of him

If his helmet goes outside you cut up field just

    inside of him

If there is ever daylight in the B-gap cram it!

the LOS you force the PSLB into our play side

Mate block and allow your offensive lineman to

seal the BSLB away from the cutback
