VADEA is pleased to host the first in a seriesof professional swap meets at CranbrookSchool on Tuesday the 23rd of October.This professional development day involvesvisual arts teachers joining together to shareprogram ideas, units of work, resources whilealso gathering inspiration to take back to theirschools and classrooms.The day will be structured around a series ofshort 2o minute presentations from experiencedand newer visual art educators from a wide
range of schools sharing strategies, ideas andresources for stage 4 and 5 on topics that include(but are not limited to): photography, visual design,ceramics, print-making, art history and criticism,animation, digital technology and painting.Each participant is requested to bring alonga unit of work, a program or an extract fromone of these that they are willing to sharewith a small group of colleagues. We inviteparticipants to focus on innovative ways they
address practice, the conceptual frameworkand the frames in the classroom.
This will be a day of supportive collegiality and achance to refresh your ideas and strategies for 2013.
