1. Purpose
To perform PRI Trunk programing using Software commands in Coral Flexicom 6000 exchange. General description: Every Exchange has provision for connecting to other exchange on trunk lines which are shared among various subscribers and accessed by dialing access code. Following trunk cards are used for connectivity between the exchanges.
2. Introduction In Coral Flexicom 6000 following Trunk cards are used. 4TEM: This card consists of four trunk line circuits. Each circuit can be set to 2w/4w mode by making jumper setting on the card. These jumper settings are available on IC5/7 and IC6 (refer manual for jumper setting) on the card. These trunks can be only I/C, Only O/G and both way mode programmable. 4TWL: It has four trunk circuits of 2 wire (single copper pair) line. These trunks are only I/C and Only O/G mode programmable. 8T-C: This card connects 8 trunks of CO lines. It requires single pair to connect. It requires analog dial tone for accessing. PRI/30T-M: This card generates 30 multiplexed voice channels by using PCM/TDM technique and can be programmed for Only I/C, Only O/G or Bi-Directional. Output of this card is 2.048 mbps. Two pairs of copper wire are required for connection.

Clis command is use to see the status of the trunk card after connecting into any universal slot.
Create trunk port dial numbers by npl command for all the trunk ports. For E&M trunk port, 2w/4w mode must be configured.
Create ‘trunk group’ dial number and create a trunk group by adding all the trunks in that trunk group. Also include this trunk group in to a dial service so that the dialled numbers will be first send to the dial service and after doing a specific function by dial service, the numbers will be sent to trunk group.
Plis command is used to see the port list of the connected card in that slot.

To identify the details of the card connected in the shelf such as name, type, version, status. *: CLIS To verify the port detail of trunk card, it will display the port identities on the card if already defined, if not defined then we have to define new port identities to this card. *: PLIS To define Trunk Group by adding each trunk port identity to one of the free trunk group, here we are selecting tkgp as 983 *: TKGP (TKGP)

6 NPL ADD OTHER EXCH Nos. ASSIGN TO A NODE
Create a ‘dial service’ dial number and assign a route number to this dial service. Route numbers are called as element. These elements are system default numbers from 0 to n, where ‘n’ is the maximum number of element allowed in the system size.
With the help of npl command, add a dial plan of other exchange by assigning a node number. These node numbers are created in the system numbering plan from 0 to n, where ‘n’ is the maximum number of node allowed in the system size.

After defining trunk group by adding all trunk ids to it we will have next step of configuration
of Routing this trunk group by LCR command. (Least Cost Route) this command will enable to define dial service to the Trunk group and Route element for the dialed services. *:LCR
