Jason S. LupoiPh.D. - Peer

Jason S. Lupoi, PhD graduated summa cum laude from LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Chemistry prior to earning a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Iowa State University. At Iowa State, Dr. Lupoi began evaluating plants with analytical tools such as spectroscopy, a research path that continued for two postdoctoral appointments for the University of Queensland/Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, and the National Renewable Energy Lab.

Dr. Lupoi has led various research projects focused on modeling chemical properties from large data sets using spectroscopy coupled with analytical methods like chromatography, enabling rapid techniques for screening plant chemistry, including cannabis. At RJ Lee Group, Dr. Lupoi served as a technical expert, auditor, and consultant for the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board. Currently, Dr. Lupoi is a Chemistry Project Manager at Thar Process, a CO2 extraction and puri�cation company dedicated to providing sustainable technology and services to the cannabis and hemp industries.

Dr. Lupoi has been an author on nearly 20 peer-reviewed publications, has been an associate editor for Frontiers in Biotechnology and Bioengineering, and has reviewed submitted manuscripts for several biofuel and analytical chemistry journals. He is also the fortunate Editor-in-Chief of Terpenes and Testing Magazine and Extraction Magazine, has taught senior citizens about the scienti�c and medicinal aspects of Cannabis sativa, and has recently authored a book on terpenes entitled The Cannabis Terpene Experience.

In short, Dr. Lupoi believes that Earthlings deserve access to ethically produced, clean cannabis and cannabis-derived products, and strives to lead by example in disseminating accurate science regarding this amazing plant, and the opportu-nities for global healing held within the trichomes.
