JCRCA convenes a common table to build consensus on key issues and advocates for causes consistent with Jewish values and ethics through a process of education, collaboration and communication. JCRCA CONVENES A COMMON TABLE FOR THE JEWISH COMMUNITY We bring together Jewish individuals, organizations and synagogues to address the pressing issues affecting our community and strive to build consensus. We invite all Jewish individuals, synagogues and organizations to join us from across Atlanta and express their voice and their vote at the common table. Holocaust Community Coordinating Council. JCRCA convenes more than 40 organizations from across Atlanta involved in Holocaust commemoration and education in order to promote communication, collaboration and cooperation. JCRCA created and updates an annual calendar of Holocaust commemoration and education events for the metro area. Synagogue Social Justice Chairs Council. JCRCA works with synagogue social justice chairs to maximize community impact and increase advocacy as a tool to repair the world. JCRCA ADVOCATES FOR POLICIES THAT CARRY OUT JEWISH VALUES We advocate for policies that reflect Jewish values and prioritize equality, justice and opportunity. JCRCA works for policies that protect vulnerable populations of seniors, children, people with disabilities, immigrants, and people with low income. We fight discrimination and oppression and support equality of opportunity. We support the continuity and security of Israel. We educate the community to engage on social justice issues. Advocacy Training: JCRCA provides annual advocacy training and tools, as well as regular communication on advocacy opportunities on community policy priorities.

Connect the community with state and national elected officials through local programming on key issues and legislative days in Atlanta and Washington, D.C.

Promote the public policy agendas adopted by Atlanta’s Jewish organizations and support community mobilization on those issues.

JCRCA STANDS WITH ISRAELWe educate and empower the community about key issues affecting Israel and mobilize support.

Israel Media Response Team. Volunteers monitor reporting on local, national and international events and provide timely letters and opinion pieces to local media regarding Israel.

Israel Action Network. We work to challenge boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel. Israel Professionals Council. Bringing together the professionals working for organizations

connected to Israel to share information and identify opportunities for cooperation and collaboration to strengthen support for Israel.

JCRCA IS THE LIAISON WITH THE JEWISH COUNCIL FOR PUBLIC AFFAIRSWe work with the JCPA, the national umbrella organization for 14 national Jewish organizations(including the ADL, AJC, NCJW, and Hadassah), with 126 Community Relations Council across the U.S.

JCRCA will host the JCPA’s Plenum -- the annual national convention to be held in Atlanta March 8-11, 2014, with hundreds of delegates and prominent national and international leaders.

Partnerships with our national partner organizations and CRCs across the country help us succeed. JCRCA disseminates JCPA’s timely and in-depth research, analysis and suggested action steps on

national issues to strengthen community engagement and mobilization.

JCRCA COMMUNICATES AND EDUCATES TO MOBILIZE ACTION Quarterly E-Newsletter on JCRC policy and program updates. Advocacy alerts on local, state, national and international priorities with key action steps outlined. Information sharing about educational and engagement opportunities by partnering organizations. Ruth Messinger Event of Honor October 2013. Social Studies Textbook and Curriculum Project. Promotes accurate and unbiased education about

Jewish history, people and Israel.
