Our meetings are a great blend of information sharing and social interaction. Meetings include a business portion where our various committees report on upcoming projects and events, as well as an invited speaker from a local organization who shares information about their work in the community.
New members bring fresh energy and ideas to Kiwanis clubs. We invite you to reach out and get involved with our local club. Together we can change the world, one child and one community at a time.

WHAT IS KIWANIS? COMMUNITY SERVICE
The Kiwanis Club of Keene is a thriving organization of service-minded men and women who are dedicated to improving the lives of children in our local community. Our club is part of Kiwanis International which has nearly 15,000 clubs in 90 countries. Our members are from many different backgrounds and all walks of life, from recent college graduates to retirees. Members are unifi ed in their belief that our local children and our community benefi t from the efforts of an actively engaged group of caring and involved volunteers. Our club is committed to doing service that is close to our hearts and crucial to our community.
Our members are ordinary people who perform extraordinary “hands-on” work. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen!
Our club motto is “We Build Through Involvement” and our focus is on activities that make a positive difference in our community. There is no better feeling than bringing hope and opportunities to the kids in our community.
Here are some of the great things we do for our community:
• Kool Wheels event bike safety, healthy eating, and dental health
• Annual Tree Lighting event at Central Square• Donate infant car seats to Cheshire Medical
Center• Summer camp scholarships for needy youth• Annual Car Show• Holiday bell ringing for Salvation Army• Holiday gifts for needy families• Caroling at Cedarcrest and local nursing
homes• Working at regional Special Olympics events• Annual Green Up Keene participation with
youth clubs• Adopt a Highway program to clean up local
highways• Kiwanis game room and Project Imagination

• St. Joseph’s Regional School Builders Club• Surry Village Charter School Builders Club • Keene High School Key Club• Monadnock Regional High School Key Club• Keene State College Circle K Club
Every year, we award college scholarships for selected graduates of Keene High School and Monadnock Regional High School Key Clubs as well as a member of the Keene State College Circle K Club.
These student-run clubs are comprised of future leaders who invest time and energy to give back to the community, including:
