DESCRIPTION
As an architect, my portfolio is very marked in recent years by health-related projects, which began with a set of sectorial remodeling projects of one of the oldest Portuguese hospitals, the monumental Hospital de São João in Porto, built in the forties according to the modernist drawings of the German architect Hermann Distel. In these projects, besides the desired modernization of infrastructure, we aimed to recover the integrity and formal coherence lost after half a century of mediocre and short-sighted interventions. Followed by the participation in various international competitions in Portugal, Brazil, Algeria and Libya, where in excels the new Braga hospital (built) and the Eastern Lisbon (2nd place). However, my skills and credits also extend to the development of architectural projects for research laboratories, airports and universities, as well as projects related to the conservation and adaptive reuse of historic-heritage buildings.TRANSCRIPT
