III. JOSHUA 9:3-15

b) satan prepared to “slither” in!

B. Tactic of compromise.

1. Most smart enough to hear the “roar”!

2. satan will NOT be obvious.

a) He will do anything to keep us from

being committed to the Lord.

b) Guard our time.

c) Will not be able to relate to guys at work. (1) Will lay claim to portion of our time! (2) Let us enjoy those

things! (3) He will steal our hearts!

(a) Ask – how can he get by with that?

(b) Verse 14 (i) Lack of prayer! (a) We miss him

when he slithers in compromise.

(b) Must not make alliances with our enemies!

IV. JOSHUA 9:16-27

A. Israel in position not intend for them!

1. Called to be “set apart” from their enemies2. Instructed to destroy

their enemies. a) satan an “angel of

light”!

b) He is a fundamentalist (1) KNOWS how to be

subtle! (2) “Have I made a deal with the devil?”

(a) Foolish virgins resembled the

wise.(b) Tares looked like

the wheat!

(c) Voice of the hired servant

resembles voice of shepherd.

(i) Have I listened to the wrong voice?

(ii) Some covenants never meant to be!
