Thank you for supporting our
mission.
The first featured agency for this fall’s Journey of Service last Sunday was Northlands Rescue Mission. Our presenter was Executive Director Sue Shirek. If you were not able to attend, but would still like to contribute to the work of the Mission,
some items are always needed. These include contents for the agen-cy’s backpack program, such as instant oatmeal packets, juice pouch-es, ramen, dried soup mixes, mac & cheese, and fruit cups and other healthy snacks. For the residents at the Mission, there are needs for bath towels and wash cloths, toilet paper, and full-size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. For persons moving into new lodging, items that could be donated include gently used silverware, dishes, kitchen utensils, and pots and pans as well as new towels and other linens. Of course, financial contributions are welcome instead of or in addition to such goods.
We will be collecting Shoeboxes for the Spirit Lake
Ministry Center from October 6 to November 4. Emp-
ty, wrapped boxes will be in the Fellowship Room on
the first Sunday of collection. Any items purchased
prior to the collection dates can be left in the north
entrance storage room in the bin labeled “Spirit Lake”.
