St. John the Baptist Preschool

Teachers and Assistants

We are looking for part time teachers and assistants for our preschool.

Flexible hours available. Please contact Gayle Mercurio, 631-929-3220.

Calling all Teens! The parishes of St. John the Baptist and St. Mark are looking for teens who would

like to help out in both parishes. We know you need service hours for many things

(Confirmation, National Honor Society, Junior National Honor Society, Scouts, col-

lege applications) and we would love for you to be involved in parish life.

Every year we need help with big projects like the Thanksgiving and Christmas

drives working with

Outreach; but we also can offer other opportunities. Young folks can be lectors, Eu-

charistic Ministers, choir members, altar servers, and ushers. You can also serve as

helpers and instructors in religious formation.

We also could use help in smaller parish projects, such as helping with facilities:

matching keys with doors at St. Mark, pruning overgrown shrubs, mulching, spring

and fall clean-ups, painting, holiday decorating, etc.

We also hope to create programs for teens to work with seniors and the needy.

We would welcome individuals or groups of friends wanting to work together.

And we hope to offer prayer and retreat opportunities, as well as social events.

If interested, please contact Dr. Jeff Pedersen at [email protected].

We look forward to serving with you!

Please consider “automated giving” as you reflect on support of our parish family!

The fruitful ministries at our parish are examples of how

many of you have answered, and continue to answer,

that call. To ensure such work can continue requires not

only gifts of time, but also of financial help. I ask you to

prayerfully consider supporting our parish with electronic

donations through Faith Direct. You can find paper enrollment forms in the parish

office, or you can sign up online at www.faithdirect.net by using our church code,

NY67.

Living Stewardship ~ Pillar of Formation

Sometimes, we tend to look at things with only our human understanding. The difficulties we face, may lead us to despair and doubt. We need to learn to trust in Jesus and believe that He can help us through any problem we face.
