The Most Holy Trinity Sunday
“But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth...” (JOHN 16:13)
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us know and live the truth. To prepare ourselves, we need to open our hearts to receive
this gift before we can give it. Develop a daily prayer routine. Talk and listen to the Holy Spirit. This is best done in
silence, when we can hear His response.

Dear Friends,
Our Lord Jesus tells his disciples—including us—to be “as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves” (Mt. 10:16). You may have seen bulletin and other notices these past few weeks warning of scammers who, pretending to be the local parish priest, send emails to parishioners requesting that they help him in an emergency by purchasing gift cards for him. These fraudulent requests are being made throughout our Archdiocese and around the country.
I write about this because in the last couple of weeks I have been contacted by staff and parishioners who have received these “emergency” requests asking for help by email and by text message. These requests are not from me; please do not answer them or purchase the requested gift cards. Scammers appear to be taking email addresses and telephone numbers from bulletins and other publicly available materials to use in this effort.
I thank our Lord and you all for your partnership in ministry. Together we are called as God’s people in the Skagit Valley to use our gifts faithfully and generously. This has not, and will not, include requests for gift cards from me or other Valley clergy.

Men's Softball
We are looking to expand our Catholic softball teams this year! Jesús envió al Espíritu Santo para ayudarnos a conocer y vivir la verdad. Para prepararnos, debemos abrir nuestros
corazones para recibir este regalo antes de poder darlo. Desarrollar una rutina diaria de oración. Habla y escucha al
Espíritu Santo. Esto se hace mejor en silencio, cuando podemos escuchar su respuesta.
Queridos amigos,
Nuestro Señor Jesús les dice a sus discípulos, incluyéndonos a nosotros, que "sean pues, precavidos como la serpiente,
pero sencillos como la paloma" (Mt. 10:16). Es posible que ya hayan visto en los pasados boletines y otros avisos en las
últimas semanas avisando de los estafadores que, haciéndose pasar por el párroco local, envían correos electrónicos o
mensajes de texto a los feligreses solicitando que lo ayuden en una emergencia comprando tarjetas de regalo para él.
Estas solicitudes fraudulentas se están realizando en nuestra Arquidiócesis y en todo el país.
Escribo sobre esto porque en el último par de semanas he sido contactado por el personal y los feligreses que han
recibido estas solicitudes de "emergencia" solicitando ayuda por correo electrónico y por mensaje de texto. Estas
peticiones no son de mi parte; por favor no las responda ni mucho menos compre las tarjetas de regalo
solicitadas. Los estafadores parecen estar tomando direcciones de correo electrónico y números de teléfono de los
boletines u otros materiales disponibles públicamente.
Agradezco a nuestro Señor y a todos ustedes por su asociación en el ministerio. Juntos somos llamados como el pueblo

Youth Migrant Program This summer between June 23rd and August 30th eleven groups of young adults from various Parishes around the Seattle area will be staying in our Parish Hall. They are here volunteering to be of service to migrant families in the Skagit Valley. Please welcome them!

The Youth
Migrant
Project is a
summer
long
experience
that provides current junior high
youth a unique and challenging
opportunity to live in community
and be of service to migrant
families in the Skagit Valley. We
need Volunteers to help sponsor
or cook Sunday meals to help
welcome these teens. Please call

Skagit Valley Mary Shrines St. Charlies Angels will be visiting the eleven Mary Shrines in the Skagit Valley on June 21st. All are welcome to join us if you wish. Those interested may join us for lunch at the Curious Chef at 11:30. Then we will meet in the church parking lot at 1 to form carpools. If you have any questions, you may call Celine at 360 428-4910

Knights of Columbus scholarship The St. Charles' David Barber Council of the Knights of Columbus is
sponsoring the Louis Mikota Memorial Scholarship again this year. The
$500.00 scholarship is for high school seniors and others who are
planning to attend a two- or four-year college, or a vocational/technical program.
Applications are due by July 1, 2019. Scholarship forms, with more details, are available at
the back of the church or in the parish office.

June 18th: Centering Prayer 11am- 1p.m. in the hall.
