This budding new Caribbean star is destined for magazine covers across the

globe. The young actor/model from Jamaica is the epitome of tall, dark and handsome. And, although he is relatively new to the industry, we are predicting that very soon, his boyish good looks and contagious Jamaican charm will land him an

express ticket on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Living in LA, has already given him a vote of confidence. Some big names are

already eyeing the Caribbean star. Yet, it is his enthusiasm and determination that will ultimately help to land him the dream. No stranger to the spotlight, Nollis Dewar was an all-star college athlete at one of the top Universities in the US, but as fate would have it…well, here’s his story:

Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica (Somerton, St James) to father Myron and

mother Juliet; Nollis is the eldest sibling of five sisters and three brothers. Growing up in a “third world country,” was very difficult but he remained positive and hopeful. His parents, only teenagers at the time of birth were not adequately

prepared for the demands of teenage parenthood and so his grandmother, Vita stepped in to help raise Nollis.

Then, in a twist of fate, at age 4, Nollis met a woman who

changed his life forever: Rosa, an American citizen who migrated to Jamaica to "start a new life." While searching to buy a home in Montego Bay, she met Nollis’ grandfather, Kenneth. The two fell in love, got married and gained custody of young Nollis. This was a promising move for young Nollis who then left the rural Somerton district and moved to an affluent Montego Bay suburb. However, years later, a very heart breaking separation between his grandparents lead to Rosa’s return to the United States. But, solace came when Rosa who was emotionally attached to her young “son” decided to have him join her in United States - Los Angeles to be exact. Nollis spent some time in LA then departed California to

experience a cooler climate in Connecticut. It was there he became an all-star.

He excelled in drama, talent shows and athletics. His drama teacher made several attempts to sign him up for acting programs but because of his dedication to athletics he rarely participated.

In 2004, Nollis earned a full scholarship to attend the University of Connecticut and he subsequently

became an integral part of the school’s football program. However, just two years later, that relationship abruptly ended. He was somehow allegedly

connected to an episode involving “partying ” before a major game. The occurrence was reportedly a violation of the football program and as a result, he was one of a group of students

released from the football team. The glaring headlines and news tales of the young player’s demise was devastating. He lived

for the game and was confused at how such a minor mishap could have such a major impact. None-the-less, he remained dedicated to his studies at UCONN until his bachelor’s degree program was complete.

Equipped with a sociology degree and heartbreak, three years later, Nollis received the call he had been awaiting. He was offered another full scholarship to attend the University of North

Alabama to play one year under newly acquired/prominent coaches Jeff and Terry Bowden. While attending UNA Nollis took a few drama courses and was casted in a rendition of Shakespeare’s "Hamlet." The drama teacher fell in live with Nollis and told him that he should pursue a career in acting. Nollis then made a promise that upon completion of the semester, he would begin to pursue an acting career. Undoubtedly, moving to Florence, Alabama and attending UNA was the turning point in his life. He had a better grasp on his future aspirations so he returned to Connecticut to work and save as much money as possible to return to California. That dream finally materialized recently, ' Nollis packed a U-Haul truck and drove cross-country back to Los Angeles where his journey originally began. Within weeks of arriving in LA, Nollis was offered a job that placed him in direct contact with some of the most celebrated names in LA. It was a dream position for any aspiring actor. The famous acquaintances immediately identified that he is destined to be a star. To date, he frequently receives acting

school referrals and advice. Overwhelmed with the love and attention he is receiving, he has taken all the great advice one by one and is now navigating his way through the industry. Nollis is currently enrolled in an acting school and has already landed an acting gig in LA. And, although Nollis also lost both his beloved dad & grandpa along the roller-coaster journey of his life, he is not discouraged by defeat. He is determined to succeed - “The sky is the limit,” he said.

“The Sky is the Limit.”

Growing up in a “third world country,” was very difficult but…
