Key Conventions of Opening Title Sequences

Distribution company

• This is the method used to get your product or service distributed to make it known. It helps get the film known, a good example is Warner Brothers, they have distributed many films.

Production Company

• They provide the physical basis for works in the realms of media, performing arts, film, television, radio and video. They may be responsible for fundraising the production, it handles budgeting, scheduling, scripting, the supply of talent and resources, the production itself, post production, marketing and distribution.

Top Billing Actors

• The most known actors will always be shown quite early on in the OTS, also they may have a title of their own, as in their contract they can state that they do not want to share with another actor/actresses name.

Film Directors• They are the person that directs the making of the film, they control

the films dramatic and artistic aspects, they can visualize the script and tell the technical crew and actors what and how to meet their vision.

Film Title

• This is usually shown early on in the opening title sequence.

Executive producer and other cast

• They enable the making of a commercial entertainment product. They generally contribute to the films budget and may or may not work on set.
