What$about$the$trade_off$hypothesis?$

•  There&is&no&“natural”&tradeMoff&between&“privacy”&and&“security”&for&ciHzens.&

•  However,&things&are&more&complicated&in&concrete&cases&–  Bounded&raHonality&and&compromises&–  Covert&operaHons&in&virtual&space&raises&more&concerns&than&the&overt&operaHons&in&a&real&environment;&
