*Remove and isolate the negative battery cable from thebattery.

*Using alcohol, clean the top surface of the underhood fusebox. Ensure the surface is completely dry.

*Remove the backing on the underhood label and mount inplace.

*Carefully pull the weatherstrip away from the side of thedriver’s side kick panel.

*Remove the hood release lever by pulling toward the cen-ter of the vehicle.

*Remove the plastic nut located near the vehicle dashwall,if equipped.

*Remove the driver’s side kick panel from the vehicle bypulling upward to release the push clip and prying towardthe center of the vehicle to disengage the (2) pressure clips.

*Remove the (2) phillips screws from the side of the lowerdash finish panel.

*Remove the (5) 10 mm bolts and (1) 10 mm nut securingthe steel knee bolster panel.

*Remove the steel knee bolster panel from the vehicle.

*Pull down to separate (Use trim tool, if necessary) and re-move the lower steering column shroud from the vehicle.

*Remove the access cover and the single phillips screw fromthe “A” pillar.

*Starting at the top, use a trim tool and remove the driver’sside “A” pillar trim panel by inserting the tool behind thepanel and prying outward to release the (2) pressure clips.

*Clean the area of the windshield where the antenna will be mounted with an alcohol-based glass cleaning solution. Ensure theglass surface is completely dry.

*Mount the dipole antenna to the windshield approximately 0.5” below the mirrors lowest attachment point and/or any wind-shield electronic gridwork. Remove protective backing. Press firmly to ensure a good glass to adhesive bond.

*Wrap the antenna cable with (3) pieces of supplied foam tape to ensure that the antenna will stay in place after routing, asshown above.

*Route the antenna cable vertically on the right hand side of the mirror up to the headliner. Tuck the cable behind the headlinerand down the “A” pillar. Use (3) small wire ties to secure the antenna cable to the factory harness located within the “A” pillar.Trim off excess wire ties.

12*Route the portion of the remote start harness containing the Yellow/Black wire, Lt. Blue wire and the 22-pin male and femaleconnectors along the right side of the fuse box to the BCM (Located on the back side of the fuse box).

*Installation Tip - Remove the (2) 10 mm bolts and the (1) 10 mm nut securing the fuse box and tilt it forward for betteraccess to the BCM connectors.

*Disengage the 26-pin BCM-ML connector from the back side of the BCM.*Locate the Lt. Blue wire in pin #21 of the 26-pin BCM-ML male connector.*Using pliers, crimp a T-Tap on the Lt. Blue wire located in pin #21 of the BCM-ML male connector.*Connect the Lt. Blue (Parking Light Output) wire from the remote start harness to the Lt. Blue wire (Pin #21 of the BCM-MLconnector) by engaging the T-Tap. Refer to Page 3 for T-Tap Installation Procedure.

19*Verify all connections are secure as per the installation instructions.*Turn the ignition key to the ON position.*Reconnect the negative battery cable. If the horn begins sounding, press the disarm / programming button with the ignition“ON” to disarm the system.

*Start the vehicle with the key and verify that no Diagnostic Trouble Codes have been triggered. Any DTCs should be resetbefore proceeding to the next step.

Remote Engine Start - Make sure the key is removedfrom the ignition switch and the engine hood and rearhatch are closed. Activate the remote start by pressinglock followed by start within 3 seconds.

The parking lights will flash one time, the horn will beep once,then the vehicle will crank and start. Once started, the parkinglights will come on and stay on signifying the engine is running.

Brake Pedal Safety - Press unlock and enter thevehicle. Press the brake pedal.

Key-In-Sense - Insert the ignition key into the ignitionswitch but keep it in the OFF position. Activate theremote engine start using the transmitter.

The parking lights will flash once and the ignition will turn on asif it is going to start. But, the horn will beep twice and theremote engine start will not attempt to start the vehicle since itdetects the key in the ignition. Door Lock - Close the engine hood and all doors andpress the lock button on the transmitter.

Rear Defrost - Activate the remote engine start. Pressthe remote start button on the transmitter a second timeafter the vehicle has started.

Alarm Trigger - Press the lock button on the transmit-ter. Manually unlock any door and enter the vehicle.Repeat this procedure twice, manually opening thehood and then the trunk.

Car Find Feature - Press the find/panic button on thetransmitter. Repeat this process twice.

The parking lights will flash one time to indicate that the vehicleis armed and locked.

The parking lights will flash one time and the horn will beep onetime giving audible confirmation that the vehicle is locked andarmed.

Door Unlock - Press the unlock button on the transmit-ter.

The parking lights will flash two times to indicate that thevehicle is disarmed and unlock the driver’s door only.

The parking lights will flash two times to indicate that thevehicle is disarmed and unlock all remaining doors.

Door Unlock - Press the unlock button on the transmit-ter a second time within 5 seconds of unlocking thedriver’s door.

The vehicle’s interior light should stay illuminated for 1 minuteor until the vehicle ignition has been turned on or the vehicle hasbeen re-armed/locked.

Interior Lamp - Press the unlock button on thetransmitter to disarm the alarm system.

The parking lights will flash one time. Locate the rear defrosterswitch and verify that the indictator portion of the switch isilluminated.

The parking lights will flash and the horn will beep 5 times.Subsequent presses within 5 seconds of the first press will beepthe horn slightly louder.

Hood Safety Switch - Remove the key from theignition and activate the remote engine start. After thevehicle has started, press the unlock button on thetransmitter to disarm the security system and pull thehood release lever to release the hood. Open the doorand exit the vehicle.

The engine/remote start will turn off immediately.

The hood should not have to be lifted to activate the hood safetyswitch.

Door Lock - Press the lock button on the transmitter asecond time within 5 seconds.

The engine/remote start will turn off.

The engine/remote start will turn off, the parking lights will startflashing and the horn will start beeping for up to 30 seconds.
