KidZania is the UK’s first educational entertainment experience where children aged up to fourteen can learn real-life skills in a 75,000sq ft. child-size city built just for them. From the Aviation Academy to the Radio Station, Police Department or the Hospital, the city streets are lined with real-life establishments. Imagine a 75,000sq.ft child-size city where kids are in charge!

“Children can only aspire to what they know exists” - it is the aim of KidZania GB to broaden these horizons so that children can explore, aspire and begin to write their own narrative of the possible. To achieve this, children will grow to understand that curiosity is a catalyst, that learning is about connecting prior knowledge to new ideas, and that it can be a satellite navigation system to better places in life. Through role-play children will instinctively grasp that learning is tangible and its outcomes have a purpose and a reality, that it answers the ‘why’ question and that it can be unending fun!

KidZania provides children with a safe, unique, and realistic educational environment that allows young people up to the age of fourteen to do what comes naturally to them: imagining and role-playing traditionally adult activities and experiences - and as we know: “Experience is everything!”

As in the real world, children perform ‘jobs’ and are either remunerated for their work - for example as a pilot, firefighter, doctor, police officer, radio broadcaster, pit-lane engineer - or pay to shop or to be entertained. KidZania is a city built to scale for children, complete with buildings, paved streets, greenery, vehicles, a functioning economy, and recognisable destinations in the form of ‘establishments’ supported by leading multi-national as well as more local industry partners.

Learning and ResourcesLearning is at the very heart of KidZania’s values, their cross-curricular educational experience will challenge and inspire children from ages 4 to 14. It is their aim to create memorable learning experiences dowsed in a substantial dose of FUN!

KidZania provides an authentic and powerful introduction to the world of work and careers for under 14s where children begin to understand the nature of work, the diversity and function of business, and its contribution to national prosperity. Just like in the real world in order to earn money (in KidZania the currency is ‘KidZos’) you have to work! In KidZania the work children do is taking part in the role-play activities.

KidZania is all about ‘doing’ and represents experiential learning at its very best. Every activity has been developed with qualified

teachers and can be appropriately cross-referenced to the National Curriculum: Maths, English, science, design and technology, computing and every subject are learned through the motivating medium of realistic role-play. However, the learning extends well beyond the curriculum and children will be able to develop a wide range of essential skills and attributes including: team work, communication, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, emotional intelligence, global citizenship.

At KidZania children learn a wide range of vital skills and attributes necessary for the effective learner through taking part in activities that:

Two & Three Day Tour ItinerariesWe recommend that you book either our two or three day tour to ensure that you and your pupils are able to enjoy in full your time at KidZania. The visit will take around four hours for your pupils to complete.

As well as your time at KidZania, we also want to ensure that you have enough time to explore the capital. Study Experiences is able to arrange the widest choice of visits, activities, excursions, theatre shows and dining options.

Full details of everything you might wish to see and do are available in our London ‘Educational Programmes, Visits and Attractions’ Guide. The most popular excursions include the London Eye, Thames river cruise, HMS Belfast, Tate Modern, Natural History Museum, Shakespeare’s Globe Exhibition and the Science Museum.

Our two and three day tours also include a sightseeing tour of London in the company of your Study Experiences tour manager, who will provide an informative commentary.

In the evenings, we can arrange for groups to enjoy dinner at a restaurant such as Planet Hollywood or Hard Rock Café, as well as the opportunity to take in a West End show, for which we are able to secure specially discounted group rates.

Day Trip ItineraryFor groups located in southern and central England, we can also offer a day trip to KidZania. You will depart early in the morning and return late in the evening to enable you to take in the tour and make the visits you wish, however please be aware that your time in London is naturally very limited.

Our greater London hotels range includes the Premier Inn Heathrow Hotel, St. Giles Hotel Heathrow and Ibis Elstree Hotel. Our central London hotels range includes the Best Western Palm Hotel, Holiday Inn Express Greenwich Hotel and Ibis Excel Hotel.

Your Travel OptionsOur tour arrangements are based on providing your group with exclusive use of a 48, 49 or 53 seat coach, which will collect you from and return you back to your school.
