Kin is a new digital currency that is used in Kik to gain access to exclusive content like stickers. A very early and limited version of Kin is now accessible to some of our most loyal users. In the coming months, everyone will be able to earn and redeem Kin for lots of great content and experiences inside of Kik. Stay tuned for more details.

As part of our initial roll out, we wanted to give Kin to select loyal Kik users. We went for loyal users since we want to make sure that Kin gets trialed by real users, who are familiar with Kik. You’ve been identified as one of these users!

Why was I awarded Kin?

Why is Kik giving away “digital currency?”

The Kin Wallet is the thing that stores your digital currency, Kin. Similar to a real-world wallet, it shows you how much Kin you currently have, but is it also where you can earn more Kin or spend it. You can access your wallet any time right inside of Kik under Settings > Help & About Us > KIN Wallet Preview.

What is a Kin Wallet?

For this iteration of the Kin Wallet, we don't require any additional information from you. In order to be a part of the Kin economy and receive Kin, you’ll need to accept Kin’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Once you have done that, you’ll be brought to your Kin wallet!

Do I need to give you any personal information in order to receive the Kin?

You can earn more Kin by completing various tasks and activities - such as answering polls to help us make Kik better and respond to some of our partner companies’ polls. To see all the ways you can earn Kin, press on the “Earn” tab in the Kin wallet.

Unfortunately, you have not been selected to be a part of the new Kin wallet just yet. If you’d like to join our waiting list you can email support.kin@kik.com with your username.

At this time, you cannot merge two different Kin wallets or transfer Kin between two Kik accounts. If this changes, we’ll be sure to let you know!

How do I transfer Kin from one Kik account to another Kik account?

If you’ve redeemed Kin for a sticker pack, and experienced difficulty downloading the pack, please contact us at support.kin@kik.com with your Kik username and the name of the sticker pack you purchased. If we can confirm your transaction history, we’ll do our best to fix the issue.

Did you see the “Receive Kin?” dialogue after completing the poll? If so, please ensure that you’ve tapped “Confirm”. We aren’t able to award you Kin unless you accept to “Receive Kin” from Kikteam :) If you did confirm the “Receive Kin” dialog and you still haven’t received the Kin please reach out to us at support.kin@kik.com with your Kik username and the name of the poll you completed. Our team will investigate and take the appropriate actions to fix the issue.

I answered a bot poll but didn’t get any Kin, help?
