Today is National “Twilight Zone “ Day
“You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A jour-
ney into a wondrous land of imagination. Next stop, the Twilight Zone!”
The original “Twilight Zone” TV series was created by Rod Serling in 1959 and every episode began with him saying this to his TV audience. The episodes were often bizarre and thought-provoking, combin-ing science fiction, horror, fantasy, and mystery. Many of the actors in the show later became famous stars, including Robert Redford, William Shatner, and Carol Burnett. “The Twilight Zone” ran from 1959 to 1964, but you can still watch reruns today. Interested?
“You unlock this door with the key of imagination……..You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into… the Twilight Zone.”
