SETTING UP THE MODEL

• Models should be developed based on Logic, Theory or prior Empirical evidence.

• Variables should be temporally ordered with the most antecedent in time on the left hand side of the model.

• Create hypotheses based on the bivariate relationships of the variables in the model a priori to any analyses.

• Run correlations on all variables. Draw in paths of all significant relationships. This will be the initial model.
