To develop capacity to predict the effect of force and motion in the course of carrying out
the design functions of engineering.
Course Outcomes:
After completion of the course, student will be able to:
1. Analyze the stability of rigid bodies under different types of force systems through
free body diagrams approach.
2. Analyze the stability of rigid bodies in contact under different types of friction and
frictional forces
3. Compute the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the particles & Estimatethe
trajectory and range of projectiles.
4. Analyze the different types of motion and stability of rigid bodies on earth and in
space under various force systems and different conditions of velocity and
acceleration.
