Quick Start InstructionsBeforeinsertingyournewdeviceforthefirsttime,followthefourquickstepsbelow.

2. Launch the Connection Manager (This will occur automatically. If not, click the desktop icon.)

Detailed Installation Instructions1. InserttheConnection Manager Installation CD for either Windows® or Mac®,

dependingonyoursystem,intoyourlaptop’sCDorDVDdrive.*

2. The Installation CD will automatically launch the Windows Setup Wizard or Mac Installer.

Mac Installer screens may vary slightly.

IftheCDdoesnotautomaticallylaunchtheSetupWizard:

Windows® Users ManuallylaunchtheCDfromMy Computer and click on the Setup File to begin the installation.

Mac® Users ManuallylaunchtheCDfromtheicon on the desktop or from the Finder menu to begin the installation.

3. Followtheon-screeninstructionstocompleteyourinstallation.

Getting the Most out of Your Connection ManagerHow do I use the Connection Manager to manage WiFi?

ToconnecttoaWiFinetwork,clicktheWiFi Connect Button and use the drop-down arrow toseealloftheavailableWiFinetworks. Click on the network you wish to connect to.

WiFimanagementcanalsobeenabledfromthe Settings>Preferences menu. On the Connection tab, select Yes next to Manage WiFi.

How do I make sure I have the latest Connection Manager?

YouknowyouhavethenewTimeWarnerCableConnection Manager if you are using the one pictured at left. To ensure you have the latest software version of theConnectionManager,goto:Settings>About>About Time Warner Cable Connection Manager (Version 2.0). ForMac,clickonTime Warner Cable Connection Manager in the menu bar, then select About Time Warner Cable Connection Manager.

Can I connect my VPN using Mobile Internet?

I can’t connect to the Internet via 4G, 3G or WiFi. What should I do?

Thereareseveralthingsyoucantry.Startatthetopandworkdownthelist if necessary.

1. MakesuretheLaptopCardisseatedproperlyintheUSBport.

2. Removeandre-inserttheLaptopCardinadifferentUSBport.ThisLaptopCardisonlycompatiblewitha2.0USBport.

3. Exit the Connection Manager by right-clicking the application logo, then choosing Exit.ForMacusers,right-clicktheDociconandchooseQuit.

4. Make sure the device is unplugged and reboot the computer.

5.IfyoupurchasedyourLaptopCardthroughTelesales,youmaystillneedtoaccept the terms of service. To accept the terms, call us at the number listed on thecontactpageofthissite.Besureyouhavethefollowinginformationhandy: youraccountnumber,theLaptopCardMACIDandthelast4digitsofyour SocialSecurityNumber.

6.UninstalltheConnectionManagersoftwarebygoingtoControl Panel> Add/Remove Programs. ForMac®, select the uninstall application from the Time Warner Cable Connection Manager Applications file folder. Then download and reinstall the latest Connection Manager software available at timewarnercable.com/mobilesoftware

7.VerifythecomputerhasthelatestOperatingSystemupdatesandWindowsHotfixes. (Hotfixes are available on the Microsoft website.)
