Las Posadas Village ACTIVITY

Las Posadas is a festival celebrated for nine nights from December 16 to 24. Las Posadas means “the inns” in Spanish. During the festival, pilgrims reenact Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem when they couldn’t find room at the inn. Make a paper village to reenact Mary and Joseph’s journey, inspired by Las Posadas.

Follow these steps:

1. Print these pages using the single sided setting on your printer. For best results, print on heavy stock.

2. Color and decorate each posada and the Holy Family figure.

3. Cut out the buildings and figure with scissors on the solid lines.

4. Fold on each dashed line.

5. Using glue, glue the tabs to form each posada.

6. Set up your village in a shared space, play space, or prayer space.
