Latitude is a music festival in Southworld. It celebrates all upcoming bands including Pet

Shop Boys who are electronic dance pioneers, Grace Jones the ironic hard hitting disco icon,

and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds who appeared last year at the Latitude festival.

Where And When Does It Take Place?

The Latitude festival takes place on Henham street in Southworld and is held on the 17th July

2009. Each year it is held at around this time when england is at its warmest.

Who Is The Target Audience And How Do You Know?

The target audience for the Latitude festival is people around the age of 16-25. I think this is

because the music played at the festivals seem to have a younger feel to them as most of them are

from this era in time. It is also a very family orientated festival and attracts a lot of families.

How Is It Funded?

The Latitude music festival is funded by Arts Council England East who have a huge interest

in Latitude.

What is its artistic policy and how does this map to the content?

The artistic policy for Latitude festivals are that each year they have to make sure that what they

play is suitable music for all ages as the festival is very family based. They often have the same

people play two or three years in a row.
