When we blow, each test tube produces a different pitched sound.

The wine glass with most water has the lowest pitch and the wine glass with least water has the highest pitch.

CONCLUSION: Thanks to the Scottish, French and Slovenian teams we know that THE PITCH OF A SOUND DEPENDS ON THE NUMBER OF VIBRATIONS.

HOW DO OUR EARS HEAR?The answer came from:

Experiment 12: AMAZING DANCE from the Romanian team

The elastic band behaves as our vocal cords do. When they vibrate, this vibration travels through the particles of the air and it reaches our eardrum.

CONCLUSION: Thanks to the Romanian team we know that THE VIBRATION PRODUCED BY A SOUND MAKES OUR EARDRUM VIBRATE AND THIS VIBRATION REACHES THE AUDITORY NERVE WHICH CARRIES THE INFORMATION TO OUR BRAIN.
