    Hello, LFC adventurer! A hearty welcome from us to you - thank you for choosing

    to be a part of this ever-growing organization that lives and breathes film. We hope

    you enjoy your stay, and that you pick up valuable friends, skills, learnings and expe-

    riences along the way.

    II. Film Literacy Class 2: FilmHistory

    In the span of an hour and a half,

    the participants of the second FLC were

    treated to a trip down film history lane.

    The speaker, filmmaker and professor Ms.

    Rica Arevalo, discussed the transformation

    of film through the ages, including both

    the international and local movie scene.

    I. IsaPelikula 2: Scriptwritingand Storyboarding

    With 2010-11 LFC President Jopy

    Arnaldo as speaker, the long-awaited IsaPe-

    likula session 2 resumed last Monday. Is-

    aPe attendees got to learn about the techni-

    calities and style involved in writing scripts

    as well as the patience needed in drafting

    clean storyboards.

    III. Doc and Pub Workshops

    The Doc and Pub Workshops last

    Saturday aimed at sharpening the skills of

    LFCs resident photographers, videogra-

    phers, and writers. The speakers were Dom

    Dycaico, owner of Indioboy Productions,for videography; Kara Santiago, Associate

    Editor of The GUIDON, for publications;

    and Tim Arafiles, founder of Served Fresh

    and OrSem 2012 Photog Head, for pho-

    tography. Various techniques and tips were

    discussed that gave the members tried-and-

    tested trade secrets to help them in cover-

    ing LFC events and more.

    II. BlueReel: Unspoken Reali-

    ties, Unheard CriesBlueReel is an advocacy filmmaking

    competition that aims to gather the Loyola

    Schools community in appreciation of the

    art of film.

    Everyone who is currently a student

    of the Ateneo can join and submit a 2-3

    minute clip depicting an interpretation of

    the theme, Unspoken Realities, Unheard

    Cries.

    The grand prize is an IntaxMini and

    other surprises will be given away.

    All proceeds of this event will go to

    their beneficiary, Kythe Philippines. This

    event is organized in partial fulfillment

    of the requirements of COM11 (Introduc-

    tion to Communication and Communication

    Theory).
