Mandatory Training Requirements

• In the oil industry, anyone wishing to travel by helicopter and

work offshore must first take a water survival training.

- PST / PSSR

- MFA

• These trainings are regularly updated

• Also a Valid Pre employment / Periodic medical examination fitness certificate is required by all employees.

Offshore Induction & Orientation• On arrival offshore facility all crew members have to undergo a brief offshore

induction & orientation program presented by the Safety officer and Doctor onboard.

• This consists of Health, Safety policies & procedures, Emergency response procedures, Environmental responsibilities, Hierarchy of Management. (immediate supervisor)

• Every one is assigned a Emergency muster point with lifeboat

• Nearest escape routes to these points are acquainted.

• Company specific work systems Protocols, and SOPs.

• All crew travelling for first time offshore are assigned a buddy and enrolled in a OJT program till they are well familiarized with their work & life offshore.

Emergency & Medical Care

• A well maintained Clinic with trained Physician on call 24hrs and medical equipments to stabilize and manage all emergencies onboard as per Medical protocols & follow MERP.

• Doctor is responsible to take care general health of the crew, provide referral, emergency first aid care in case of emergency, health talk, stretcher team trainings, vaccinations, OH programs.

• All offshore crew are trained to handle emergencies via regular drills.

• Emergency drills are conducted every week.

Accommodation Facilities

• Cabins assigned are just like the very nice ones found on cruise ships which may be single / twin sharing depending on ranks and availability.

• Individual bunks with comfortable mattresses for sleeping closets, large bathroom and shower, satellite television, DVD player and a phone for internal and external calls.

• Rooms are cleaned and beds made daily by the house keeping staff.

• There is a 24hrs laundry service to clean work clothes of crew.

Work Shifts & Breaks

• A typical work day consists of a 12 hour shift

which starts with a daily safety pre tour meeting to discuss the activities of the day.

• During the work day you will be allowed time for a

meal and 2 coffee/tea breaks.

• Smoking, although allowed on the rig, is restricted to

designated areas only.
