Lifestyle Habits That Slow Down Aging

It happens to everybody

and there’s no way you can do

to stop it.

Howeveryou can always

slow it down even age

gracefully!

How? Well, start taking note of these lifestyle habits!

Drink Enough Water

• Drinking enough water will rehydrate your organs, keeping your body in tip-top shape.

• It helps make your digestive system in smooth, working condition.

• It keeps your skin hydrated, healthy, vibrant, soft and supple, thus preventing the symptoms of aging.

• Take note that we’re talking about pure water, not sodas and fruit juices.

Get Enough Sleep

• Sleep isn’t for the weak – it’s for everybody. Get at least nine hours a day.

• It allows the brain to restart and refresh, allowing you to face your day with vigor and optimism.

• Sleep stimulates the release of vital hormones which are partly responsible for skin repair.

• Getting enough sleep means having enough collagen: a protein responsible for keeping the skin elastic.

• Remember, not getting enough sleep means having wrinkles and dark circles around the eyes!

Control Your Anger

• Being angry increases stress, which in turn releases cortisol which boosts oil production in the skin. This makes you prone to acne breakouts.

• Being angry makes you prone to frowning, increasing your fine lines thus making you look older.

• Entering fits of rage is bad for the heart and is usually followed by depression – both can pose negative effects on your mind and body.

Eat a Protein-Rich Diet

• Protein is vital for tissue, muscle and skin health. It is needed for their repair and maintenance.

• Your skin is basically made of protein, so don’t shy away from eating rich sources of the nutrient!

• Most protein-rich food also contain a good amount of vitamin B6 and B12, which helps reduce stress and anxiety.

Fruits and

Greens

• Other than protein, pair your diet up with fruits and vegetables.

• Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants which gets rid of free radicals in the body. This in turn helps the liver, thus helping it promote skin health in the long run.

• Nutrients like vitamins A and C are mostly found in these foods, and both play anti-aging and skin maintenance roles

Exercise

• A simple 10-minute workout regimen a day will work wonders for your overall health.

• It helps you keep, feel and stay young.

• It helps with muscle tone and boost flexibility, avoiding saggy skin.

• When you exercise regularly, you produce good amounts of the growth hormone, which is important in keeping you youthful.

Aside from these methods, it is also recommended to consult with an age care clinic and know your

options!
