A LED (light-emitting diode) provides light similar to fl uorescents. LED lighting offers consistent color quality with none of the UV radiation that causes fading damage, making it a mainstay for museums. It’s perfect for accent lighting in furniture, cabinets and displays that require good lighting in tight spaces. Since the energy powering a LED is converted into light, minimal heat is produced, making them an especially safe light source. LED lights do not have bulbs, giving them a remarkably long lifespan: the electronic component that emits light lasts 50,000 hours.With a lower consumption per watt, available in both warm white and cool white, 50,000 hours of life at the highest light emissions, no excess heat, no UV radiation and no need to replace bulbs, LED lights are at the cutting edge of lighting technology!

Halogen: a brilliant solutionHalogens produce a bright white light, with a longer life and more lumens per watt than regular incandescent bulbs. Halogen provides maximum effi ciency throughout the life of the bulb, and is available in both line voltage (120 volts) and low voltage (12 volts). Low-voltage models require a transformer to modify incoming voltage. Halogens remain the light of choice where high light quality or precise light focusing is required.

Fluorescent: the modern classic Fluorescents are highly effi cient, producing less heat and generating 50 to 100 lumens per watt: 4–6 times more than incandescent bulbs. T4 and T5 compact solutions make the installation of under-cabinet fl uorescent, display and retail lighting the easiest of all lighting options. Available in a wide spectrum of colors, fl uorescent lighting has an average life span of 10,000 to 20,000 hours.

Incandescent: the dependable original The classic “normal light bulb” we’re all familiar with. These bulbs have a very thin tungsten fi lament housed inside a glass sphere. Incandescent bulbs are inexpensive and readily available in a variety of wattages and shapes. They produce a yellowish-white light that is emitted in all directions.
