Elinore Walske, Secretary to Me1 D. Lair-, (Coordinator of Personnel), is a Chicago girl who became an Aramcon in 1952 with one definite purpose: to pursue her law studies. The record has it thattwo and one-half years of browning through musty law books at Northwestern Law Schwl w i l l help her to obtain her LLB (Bachelor of Iawa). Her previous employment covers a five-year period with the Law Department of Montgomery Ward. and before that a session with the Federal Reserve Bank.

Having recently chalked up 15 months in the Field. Elinore took oEon an unusual short vacation in Cairo. Istanbul, Rome, Madrid. Casablanca, and Beirut - type of hedge hopping in a short space of time. She did manage to see the pyramids twice --the secondtime at night. which may be a record for a lawyer- to-be, or a modern Portia.

Elinore Walske was quick to admitthat working here is almost aa good a s toiling in Chicago, generally speaking, and that her leisure permits plenty of time to brush up on dry law subjects, so that when she re-enters Northwestern she can pick up where she left off early in '52.

LETTERS PARENTS, A WUR NOTE1

Editor, Dhahran

W i l l the parents of the dear- ly beloved. aweet little angel. have their young charges pick uptheir toys (tricycler.8)rates. space ships and otherjunk) from the walks around apart- ment. 504, 505 and adjacent houses? It h hardly a pleasant adventure for me to visit a friend in that area, and trip over theae bear-trap con- trivances before I reach my deatination. Whan I was a youngeter (if I was lucky enough to have toys) I'd get a fanning if I left anything a- roundfor grownups (or anyone elme) to stumble over in the dark. The parents in that area muat certainly realise that the walks around the housea which I refer a re not e v a dimly lighted. The next time I stumble over aome brat's b y I thhk I'll he mad enough to hurl it t h r o u e the neareat window.

It might be well if anyone is vimitingthe area b carry along a hand flash to avoid a nasty fall. After all, the aafety man can't be everywhere.

Also, there a re a few tree breakers in that neighborhood; they a re young urchins who do not know how long it takes to grow a tree. I'm inclined to thinkthe parents 5 e not aware of this vandalism, and live never investigated if the ownera of these Tarsma have any trees their youngatera would like to deatroy.

A note to the parent. of theae destructive rogue.: Since they a re your children, and since you a re definitely .tuck with them. would it not be to your credit to have them grow up into children you can point to with pride? We a re m oil town, for sure. but there ia no reason in this wide world why the frontier spirit should be allowed to grow in the minds of your child (or children).

Pleaae inform Mr. Dining Hall that the dessert (or aalad) of peachea and peanut butter is hardly a delectable tidbit for even a pseudo gourmet. Surely they can come up with something the public at large like once in a while.

John Huston, who has been quoted as saying that he did not intend to make any more films inHollywood, has never- theless confirmed plans to do "Moby Dick" there next year. Gregory Peckwill star.. . You won't see Mario Lama in MGM's "The Student Prince," but his mice will be recogniz- able.
