Local Rules ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES: The course is designed around a number of culturally sensitive ancient Hawaiian heiau (places of worship) and stone walls. DO NOT ENTER HEIAU. DO NOT PLAY FROM HEIAU. IF YOUR BALL COME TO REST WITHIN A HEIAU, YOU MUST ABAN- DON THAT BALL AND PROCEED, PER THE FOLLOWING: Heiau near the 16th green is marked as a hazard. When a ball comes to rest within the margin of a heiau, the player does not have the option to play from that spot. Instead, the player must proceed under the remaining options of a lateral hazard, under penalty of one stroke: - Using the point of entry to the hazard, the player may drop within two club-lengths, no nearer the hole. - Keeping the point of entry into the hazard between the player and the hole, the player may go as far back as he or she wants and drop a new ball into play. HEIAU AND ANCIENT STONE WALLS are considered as “ground under repair.” When a ball comes to rest next to an ancient stone wall in such a way that it interferes with either the stance or swing, the player must proceed as follows: - Take a free drop within one club length, no nearer the hole. CARTS: Carts must remain on paths on all Par 3’s. Keep carts on cart paths near tees and greens. Please observe 90-degree rule across fairways. PACE OF PLAY: Play should be completed in 4 hours or less. PLEASE: Repair all ball marks on greens and repair spike marks before leaving greens. Replace divots and rake sand bunkers. USGA RULES GOVERN ALL PLAY EXCEPT WHERE MODIFIED BY LOCAL RULES. Heiau near the 16th green is marked as a hazard. When a ball comes to rest within the margin

no nearer the hole.

- Keeping the point of entry into the hazard between the player and the hole, the player may

go as far back as he or she wants and drop a new ball into play.

• HEIAU AND ANCIENT STONE WALLS are considered as “ground under repair.” When a ball

comes to rest next to an ancient stone wall in such a way that it interferes with either the

stance or swing, the player must proceed as follows:

- Take a free drop within one club length, no nearer the hole.

• CARTS: Carts must remain on paths on all Par 3’s. Keep carts on cart paths near tees and
