MISSIONThe Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club (FSBGC) mission is to help youth of all backgrounds develop qualities to become responsible citizens and leaders. Through our associationwith Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we seek to enhance the quality of life for the youthof our community.
MEMBERSHIPAnyone between the ages 6 - 18 can become a member. The FSBGC is a drop-in youth service organizations where members have opportunities for recreation, healthy competition, new friendships, supervised activities and interactions with adult staff and volunteers. The FSBGC does not assume any responsibility in the time or manner in which members arrive or leave our facilities or properties.
COSTSAnnual membership cards are required and the cost is kept low so that all kids can affordto join. Membership cards ( $20) are valid from the time or purchase until the end of the calendar year (Dec. 31). Membership fees are non-refundable. Activity fees ($ 25) are charged for major sports, shuttle (per semester), and the Summer program. Some added feeds may apply for field trips and special events. The FSBGC will not allow cost to prevent anyone from participating. Visitors may purchase a one-day pass for $ 3 during school hours or $ 5 during summer.
HOURS OF OPERATION / PROGRAMSClubs are open after-school Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. til 7 p.m. Clubs are closed on Sundays year round. FSBGC members have gone from the Club house to the State house, from the game room to the corporate board room, from high school sports to professional stadiums. The Club uses recognized programs that address pressing youth issues. Programs include: mentoring, tutoring, field trips, major sports (basketball, soccer, baseball, cheer, football, golf), literary arts, photography, music instruction, STEM, Youth of the Year, Keystone Club, Torch Club, Junior Staff, Smart Leadership, College Scholarships, WAEDA jobs for teens, Power Hour, Triple Play, Arts & Crafts, Talent Shows, Anti-bullying, Smart Girls, and guest speakers.
VOLUNTEERS / PARTNERSHIPSMore than 400 volunteers serve the organization. Interested individuals must complete a volunteer application and authorized background check. The FSBGC is a proud agency member of the United Way. Other partners include: BGCA, Babe Ruth Baseball, Fort Smith Public Schools, Future School, UAFS, Cox Communications, Savers, American Legion, City of Fort Smith, River Valley Food Bank, New Covenant Feeding program, Step Up Speak Out, Optimist Club, Community Clearinghouse, Antioch for Family & Youth, etc.

Boys & Girls Club basketball games are played weekly at all five Club gymnasiums. The season concludes at the end of February.

Free meals are served at the Boys & Girls Club on a daily basis. On school days, after-noon snacks and dinner meals are provided. During the summer
program, breakfast and lunch meals are served at all four Club sites.
