STUDIES
In parallel to the activity with theater company "Piccola Ribalta" of Venice directed by her father Carlo
Russo, since the age of 10 years has been dedicated to her musical studies.
After the diploma of high school at 18 as Accountant for economy, she graduated with honors in
orchestral conducting at the Conservatory "A. Boito" of Parma under the M ° S. Rabaglia, where he also
studied violin with Prof. A. Cavalieri. She is graduated in Composition at the "G. Verdi" in Milan under
the guidance of Maestro. B. Zanolini, in Choral Music and Choir Conducting at the Conservatory in
Venice under the guidance of M °. S. and L. Vanzin Berengo, in singing at the Conservatory
"L.Campiani" of Mantua under the guidance of M°G. Schmidtgaden, in Band instrumentation at the
Conservatory "F. A. Bonporti"of Trento.
She graduated with highest honors for Specialization two years Course in Conducting at the
Conservatory "B. Marcello "in Venice.
She has attended numerous courses as active student for Conducting with Masters J. Kalmar, F.Nagy, H.
Priem-‐Bergrath, E. Acel, E. Simon, G. Bellini, S. Rabaglia, G. Gelmetti, A. Ceccato, A. Ros Marbà, D.

student listener with Masters M. Chung Wung M. Gielen, I. Karabtchevsky.
She obtained in 2012 a Masters in Project Planning and enrollment in the European Europrogettisti,
and the Master in Fundraising at the Faculty of Economics of the University Alma Mater of Bologna /
Forli.
She received her Masters Degree in Not Conventional Marketing and Social Media of the Eurogiovani
of Bologna.
COMPETITIONS
Very young, in 1985 she won the scholarship of the EEC and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan for the
course of Specialization for one Master for the "Boys's Choir" held by Maestro. G. Schmidtgaden at the
Teatro alla Scala, becoming her assistant for six years at the Teatro alla Scala.
In 1988 she won the competition of Wienermeisterkurse where she debuted in Vienna conducting the
Symphony KV 385 "Haffner" of W.A. Mozart.
Afterwards she was a finalist in the selection for "Young Conductor" in the "Workshop of Peter Maag,
1991", and received a scholarship in Conducting at the Music Academy Chigiana in Siena (1997).
For two consecutive years 1996 and 1997 she exceeded all stages of selection of the contests for
"Young Conductor" at the Musical Pomeriggi of Milan and received the final concerts.
In 2004 she passed the selection phase of the "Berliner Chamber Philharmonic" and received the final
concert.
In Italy won the two contests to National Ministerial for Qualifications and Examinations 1990 for
teaching at the conservatories in Choral Practice and Harmony and Counterpoint, and in 2000 the
Competition Reserved for Qualifications and Examinations of Orchestral Practice disciplines,
Composition, Choral Conducting for teaching automatically obtaining the update of the discipline of
Choral Practice.
TEACHING ACTIVITY
After a debut in the Secondary school in 1982 lasted only three years and alternating theatral activity
since 1991 has accepted teaching assignments abroad and in Italy.
From 1991 to 1999 she taught at music conservatories of Verona, Bolzano, La Spezia, Adria and
Castelfranco Veneto in the annual Discipline of Orchestral Practice, Composition, Complementary
Harmony, Reading and Voice piano for teaching, Choir Conducting for Teaching and as Assistant
Conductor Maestro Emil Simon in Orchestral Practice in Dima Music Faculty Cluj Napoca (Romania).
From 1999 to 2002 as a result of ministerial competition she was Professor of "Harmony and
Counterpoint" at the "V. Bellini "of Palermo where she also held the position, conferred by the Director
of the Conservatory of "Conductor of the Ensemble for contemporary music", and she was responsible
for the organization and preparation of the leading festivals of Contemporary Music at the
Conservatory of Palermo holding some premieres of contemporary authors.
From 2002 to 2004 she was professor of "Harmony and Counterpoint" and "Experimental
Composition" at the "Felice dall'Abaco" in Verona, where she also held the position of "Conductor of
the Ensemble of Contemporary Music".
From 2004 -‐ 2005 she was professor of "Orchestral Practice" at the Conservatory of Ferrara with
temporary assignment in Matera.
Following she was Professor of "Orchestral Practice" at the Conservatories of Benevento, Bolzano,
Venice and currently at the Conservatory "G. Frescobaldi" of Ferrara, with whom she also worked as
arranger and orchestrator.
At the Conservatory of Ferrara has also teaching courses to Conducting, Orchestral Conducting for
Correpetition, Practice and Repertoire for Voice and Orchestra and Course of free Orchestra.
CONDUCTOR
She has had numerous concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Vratzta Symphony Orchestra of
Oradea, the Satumare Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Brasov, the State Opera of
Szeged, the Warmia Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra Pro-‐Arte Vienna, the Orchestra
Sinfonica del Valles, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Chisenau, the Orchestra Thüringen Philharmonie
Gotha.
In Italy she conducted Oser Arturo Toscanini Orchestra of Parma, the Orchestra of the Musical
Afternoons of Milan, the JFutura Orchestra of Trento, the Chamber Orchestra Milano Classica, the
Symphony Orchestra of Citta di Pavia, the Symphonic Orchestra of Bari, the European Orchestra
"Clara Wieck", the ensemble of instrumentalists of "Ravenna Festival in 1986, 1987", the Ensemble of
Fine Secolo di Bergamo, Female Ensemble of Rome, the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra
of the Conservatory B. Marcello in Venice, the Ensemble "Vox Secreta" of Venice, the Orchestra of the
Conservatory of Parma, Matera, Benevento, Bolzano, Pavia, Ferrara.
She was a founder of the Orchestra of Venice Female F.I.D.A.P.A. (Italian Federation Women Arts
Professions Affairs) in 1990 with whom she has also done work for 1991. Between 1995 and 1997 she
collaborated actively as a Conductor with the Instrumental Ensemble and with the Orchestra of the
Conservatory of Parma.
In 1998 she accepted the position of Chief Conductor of the University of Padua "Concentus Musicus
Patavinus" with whom she has also done work for 1999.
OPERA CONDUCTOR
In 1986 she made her debut as a young Conductor to "Ravenna Festival" where she has directed a
show called "Paradise: four questions and four answers" and the following year in 1987 the Opera
"Djamileh" G.Bizet both directed by L. Arruga.
She has also conducted several opera productions including "Djamileh" by G. Bizet, "Rigoletto" by
Verdi, "Cosi fan tutte" and "Don Giovanni" by W.A. Mozart, the contemporary opera "The Theatre of
Marvels" by P. Furlani,"The Combat of Tancredi and Clorinda" by C. Monteverdi," Medea" by D.
Milhaud, "Il Principe Porcaro" by N. Rota, "Il mondo della Luna" by J. Haydn, "Hänsel und Gretel" by E.
Humperdink.
She has partnered with the Irish Composer Tom Cullivan to run in the first world of his "Cantata
Hiroshima" which she directed at the Teatro Bonci of Cesena.

From 1985 to date she has collaborated with various lyrical symphonic bodies such as the Teatro alla

"Opera 2001" in Alicante, the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and with the conductors R. Palumbo, D.
Callegari, D. Gatti , E. Ihnbal, T. Severini, R. Chailly, A. Allemandi, A. Zedda, J. Arnell, A. Davies, F.
Bender, C. Nance, J. L. Cobos, R. Bonucci, M. Panni, W. Jurowsky, Y. David, with various tasks (Actress,
Assistant Conductor, Conductor Substitute, Pianist, Conductor of the Boys Choir, Korrepetitor, Pianist
accompanist, instrumentalist of Orchestra).
She has worked as a pianist accompanist for singing Seminars held by Leyla Gencer and Renata Scotto,
Astrid Varnay and again she held the position of Master Pianist for opera (Prinzregententeather, Opera
House Halle, Teatro La Fenice in Venice).
The twenty-‐year collaboration with the Tölzerknabenchor of Monaco of Bavaria, led her to realize, as
Stimmbilderin, some production of "The Magic Flute" by WA Mozart at major theaters such as the
Prinzregententheater in Monaco, the Opern House of Chicago, the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa.
She was Assistant to the Conductors of Orchestra Maestro T. Severini, Maestro M. Damerini, M ° E.
Simon, Maestro A. Tarchetti, Maestro G. Gelmetti and the Maestro A. Ceccato.
SOPRANO
Simultaneously to conducting has performed in many concerts as a soprano, with the
pseudonym Ursula Joss, in the baroque repertoire, lieder and contemporary.
She collaborates with the Composer Maurizio Pisati in the "Zone" project, for which she made her
debut at the Teatro Studio of Milan, at the Piccolo Teatro Regio Turin, the Veronese Maffeiana Sala, at
the Palazzina Liberty in Milan.
She sang the premiere the Mass in B Minor G. Carli Ballola at the Sacred Music Festival of Bolzano and
Trento.
She debuted in role of "Pamina" in "Zauberflöte" by W.A. Mozart under the baton of Maestro G.
Schmidtgaden and later Maestro Ralph Ludewig, and in the role of "Cio-‐cio-‐san" in "Madame Butterfly"
by G. Puccini at the Opera National of Chisenau in Moldova for the Spring Festival in 2002 under the
direction of Maestro Corrado de Sessa.
She collaborated with the vocal quartet "Cuiusvis Toni" as Soprano II with whom she sang the first
Italian performance of "Odisseus Women" by L. Andriessen.
Recently, in collaboration with the Music Association in Aulis in Bolzano she held Recitals of music by
various authors of the text of Dante Alighieri.
COMPOSER
In 1999 as a result of ministerial competition (1990) she reached the Abilitation for Professor of
"Harmony and Counterpoint" and in 2000 as a result of ministerial competition she reached the
Abilitation for Professor of "Composition".
The compositional activity mainly includes arrangements of music composed for the orchestras of the
Conservatory with whom she worked.
There are still original compositions written and dedicated to prestigious soloists such as
Tölzernabenchor of Monaco of Bavaria and violinist Carlo Lazzari.
In collaboration with the Music Association in Aulis in Bolzano she held Recitals of music by various
authors of the text of Dante Alighieri, including her own composition entitled "Vergine Madre" on the
text of the last canto of Paradise of the Divine Comedy.
MANAGMENT
Since 2012 he has been Chairman and Treasurer of the Association Cultural Musical "Catterino Cavos"
of Venice in charge of rediscovering the musical figure of the Venetian composer, who has a fair
number of subscribers.
