Susan has been studying bridge with Diane Hudson for the last four years. Those of us who know Diane will be familiar with her tell-it-like-it-isstyle. Once, after a particularly bad lead, Diane threw up her hands and said, Thats the worst lead ever,a quote that Susan still laughs about today. Susan regularly plays with Stacy Hancock and occa- sionally plays with K.K. Weinberg and her mentor, Sharon Ohsfeldt. If you havent met Susan, introduce yourself to her and congratulate her on her big success! Share your story Non-Life masters, wed love to write about you! Memphis City Saver Coupon Books As a special fundraiser to benefit the Hospitality Fund for the Spring 2019 North American Bridge Championships to be held in Memphis, Unit 144 will be selling Memphis City Saver coupon books starting in January. The cost is $25.

Change to Tuesday evening game

The Tuesday night limited game is changing from a 49ers game to a Strati-fied 99ers game. This game is held alongside our Open Stratified Friendly Game, Tuesday eve-nings at 6:30 pm. For help finding part-ners call Jane Eason at 662-429-1257.

Unit 144 Annual Meeting The Unit 144 Annual Meeting will take place Jan. 5, 2018, after the after-noon game at the Nate Silverstein Tour-nament. Free dinner will be provided to Annual Meeting attendees. The menu will be included in the notice to be sent out by email to all Unit 144 members 30 days before the meeting. Notices will be sent by regular mail to those without email.

Judy’s Friday morning game Judy Knox’s Friday morning game at M.A. Lightman will be discontinued starting Nov. 24 until after the Nate Sil-verstein Tournament in 2018. It will be determined at that time whether there is enough interest to resume the game on Jan. 12, 2018.
