MADEIRA LITERARY FESTIVAL

From the 16th to the 22nd of March, the Madeira Literary

Festival (MLF) is back for a cultural week of written, spoken,

offered, exchanged and experienced words, having as natural set

the unique charm of its insularity.

“Beauty: Body, Word and Image”” is the motto launched for

this year’s edition, bringing to the Region, renowned Portuguese

and foreign writers.

Words also produce shows: the MLF promotes, a great musical

moment, with the excellence of the international award-winning

and great Portuguese composer Rodrigo Leão, who has sold out all

venues, where he has already performed. «O Espírito de Um País»

(Spirit of a Country), in Madeira, marks his long waited comeback to

live performances, in a special and different format, in Portuguese,

where the soul and identity of a nation are exalted.
