Greetings Faith Leaders of the Greater Southern California Area,

You, or a representative from your organization, is cordially invited to attend our

inaugural Faith Communities Security Summit on Tuesday March 3rd at Biola University. This event is hosted by the Los Angeles Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the LA

Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Joint

Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC), the Orange County Intelligence Assessment

Center (OCIAC), the LA Emergency Preparedness Foundation, as well as other

sponsors.

We are living with challenging and unchartered realities, as we grapple with the rise of

targeted violence against faith-based communities. Please join us for an immersing

day of sharing information, examining hate doctrine and the emerging face of racially

motivated extremist threats, as well as discussing public and private resources

available to keep your organizations safe. We will also have a DHS-facilitated session

to educate and inform on how best to "harden" your structure(s) and campus(es).

The desire and intent of federal law enforcement and its partners is to pro-actively

address this evolving threat by building trust with faith organizations and providing you

with a wide array of tools to keep your communities safe.

This letter serves as a "save the date." Further details will be provided in an invitation

that will be sent to you in the coming weeks. So please mark your calendars for
