Our aim was to develop a weather- and water-resistant material with the look and feel ofprecious wood. Materi al obtained from renewableraw material, resist ant to water, sun, wind andcold and that does not splinter – even after manyyears. A material which is saving resources andalways features consistent high quality.

We have invented it.And it can do a lot more than wood.

Resysta is extremely resistant and has anexceptional eco-balance. Made from rice husks,(an agricultural raw material, which has so far notbeen used worldwide) it sets new standards interms of sustainability. The haptic impression isvery pleasant and the possibilities almost infinite.


Resysta: unique material withbipolar properties

A complex procedure (PTR H-Technology)enables us to treat the rice husk in a way that – forthe first time - provides for a process taking placebetween a natural fiber and a polymer. This allowsfor the rice husk to entirely combine with thepolymer. Therefore the positive properties of thesilicates, contained in the rice husk are reflectedin the compound. Owing to the bipolarity of themateri al, its surface cross-links with water but watercannot penetrate it. Furthermore, Resyst a is easy toshred and pulverize for the recycling processand can be introduced to production without anintermediate step.

With all products exposed to weathering,changes of the surface appearance is taking place.Mechanical changes like swelling or shrinkagecould not be demonstrated in this test.

It is clearly apparent that all wood specimen showdistinct changes in color already after a shortperiod of time. A similar effect - in milder form -can be observed with WPC materials. Besides,these feature the obvious plastic appearance.

Of all tested materials, Resysta most convincinglycombines the look and feel of wood withlongevity.
