Mark V. Anquillare is Verisk’s chief operating officer and group president, overseeing the company’s insurance businesses, government-facing businesses, customer experience, and enterprise risk management.

Mark’s deep experience in the insurance industry, combined with his analytical and data-focused perspective, keeps Verisk at the forefront of the changes shaping the industry. His passion for innovation and smart investments in technology continues to move the company forward.

With an emphasis on team-building, Mark has also been instrumental in driving operational excellence across Verisk, focusing on best-in-class customer experience, lean six sigma, global talent optimization, and use of AI and machine learning to drive internal efficiencies.

Mark’s career at Verisk is marked by key financial roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in his appointment as chief operating officer in 2016 and most recently as group president in 2021, more closely aligning the company’s enterprise risk assessment and management with Verisk’s core business operations.

His previous Verisk positions include chief financial officer from 2007 to 2016, controller from 2000 to 2007, and director of financial systems from 1992 to 2000. Before joining Verisk, Mark worked at Prudential Financial, where he focused on life insurance and property and casualty operations.

Mark has been named a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) after completing a comprehensive, intensive professional program on insurance and financial services.

Mark holds an MBA from the Rutgers Business School and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame.

He’s active in his community and serves on the Rutgers Business School Advisory Board.
