This unprecedented program is a way to gain real-life experience that will lead to enhancement of communication and leadership skills, creativity, decision making capabilities, and a way to get your foot in the door at one of Chicago’s most desirable places to start a career. Interns will enjoy a great deal of ownership and independence with their day-to-day functions while also receiving the support they need to not only succeed at YouSwoop but garner core skillsets needed to succeed in any professional environment. Specifically, College Account Reps can see their day being spent: Getting top notch coaching from industry leaders and building essential skills and business acumen You’ll receive daily coaching and mentoring from our president and senior management to cultivate and refine your talents, build your confidence and assist you in reaching your objectives to ensure you feel proud of your time at YouSwoop. We are committed to supporting your personal and professional goals. You’ll prepare for your future by learning about yourself, developing confidence through overcoming obstacles and working with a team. Building the skills of persistence, dedication, accountability and leadership, you’ll elevate yourself to a marketable professional ready for whatever career you decide to pursue. You’ll have an opportunity to discuss local Chicago business owners’ marketing goals and how YouSwoop’s model can align with their objectives. Previous intern participants have built long-term relationships with YouSwoop merchants sometimes resulting in employment opportunities with them. Do you fit the following: You are a junior or senior in college. You are majoring in marketing, sales leadership, business, communications or related field. Knowledge and/or interest in entrepreneurship, research, business, cultural tourism, business development, marketing & advertising You have rock solid verbal and written communication skills. Job Responsibilities: Assist with design of printed and digital marketing materials, including brochures, posters, presentations, and web banners. The majority of work will be conducted in Microsoft Word, with occasional work in InDesign.

Job Responsibilities: Assist with design of printed and digital marketing materials, including brochures, posters, presentations,

and web banners. The majority of work will be conducted in Microsoft Word, with occasional work in InDesign.

Work with management to analyze consumer data and spending habits. Work with management to create hyper focused marketing campaigns specific to business’s needs. Prepare collateral for promotions on website. Work in conjunction with the design team to sell products/services. Organize guerilla marketing campaigns as needed. Enhance, organize and manage events. Other duties may be assigned as design opportunities emerge.

Benefits: Intern will be exposed to the fundamentals of business development & management. Work in a fun, young, and fact paced environment. This internship is customized to the intern's schedule. Approximately 15-20 hours per week is required Letter of recommendation and a college credit will be provided upon successful completion of internship
