Work under the direction of a Head of Marketing to help deliver the Marketing Strategy. This role will involve working closely with multiple stakeholders in particular; SMT, the Admissions Team and Teaching staff.

To develop a distinct brand presence for the schools through all relevant marketing channels. To ensure all content is inspiring, correct and up to date and that it is both an informational news service and a marketing tool that promotes the school to its wider audience.

Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Belmont and Grimsdell across all Marketing channels but lead on digital content creation across all four schools within The Mill Hill School Foundation.

Social Media:• Work closely with multiple stakeholders to

create exciting content for the relevantchannels across The Mill Hill SchoolFoundation

• Plan weekly content across different platforms,e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedInfor each school and support Summer Schoolwhen required

• Monitor the existing platforms and makeapproved responses when required

• Follow educational specialists on social mediato look for opportunities to contribute todiscussions online and build relationships withthem

• Ensure that content from the Development andEnterprise Departments are included

• Keep abreast of changes in digital channels

Advertising:• Support the Head of Marketing to deliver

relevant advertising campaigns for events suchas Open Morning. Covering both offline anddigital channels.

Design:• To work in conjunction with the Marketing and

Design Executive; assist in creatingpromotional and branded materials; includingprospectus, digital advertising, offlineadvertising, flags, business cards, post cardsetc. Plus, the creation of branded schoolmaterials; including school term calendars, JobDescriptions Mill Hill School Review etc.

• Create the Grimsdell School Magazine andwork in conjunction with the Belmont SchoolMagazine Editor to create their schoolmagazine

Website:• Content creator (including proof-reading and

editing articles)• Maintaining and developing the website• Daily, to monitor and update information

displayed on the website liaising with teachingstaff and other departments where necessary

• Drive traffic to the website through appropriateinitiatives

• Encourage contributions of news from staff andpupils which will then be communicated via theparent/agent e-newsletter

• Assess the information structure andpresentation of information on the website toensure that it is as impressive as it can be

• Check the functionality of the website to ensurethat it is navigable

• Maintain an overview of all four FoundationSchools’ web pages, and of the pages whichrelate to the Development and EnterpriseDepartments and any other sub-sites which mayevolve in time

• Create digital reports e.g. using GoogleAnalytics

• Monitor the content of the information on thewebsite with a view to maximizing Search EngineOptimisation (SEO)

• Update educational websites where informationfor our schools are held e.g. Good Schools’Guide

• Send news to key electronic commercial andeducational websites as appropriate

Other:• Send out the weekly parent e-newsletter• Deliver key events such as Open Morning• Work closely with our Video Production Society

to gather content• Build relationships with press and publications

and identify content opportunities• Manage the content for internal digital screens

working closely with the office teams• Create surveys as and when required to gain

insights

Qualifications and Skills

Desirable• Educated to Honours degree or equivalent

professional qualification• Digital Marketing, PR or Communications

qualification

Experience and Knowledge

Essential• Excellent verbal and copy writing skills with the

ability to write copy for a variety of marketingchannels and audiences

• Excellent attention to detail and proof readingskills

• Strong stakeholder management,organisational and planning skills

• Ability to multi-task and prioritise work• Experience of working in a fast-paced

environment• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word

and MS Outlook)• Knowledge of existing and emerging web tools

and social media platforms• A proven interest in digital channels and

copywriting

Desirable• A minimum of one years’ experience within

marketing, PR, digital, web or communications• Experience of working in an educational

environment• Ideally managed social media accounts• Strong copy-writing skills with a spark for

creativity• Good knowledge of CMS (Word Press),

MailChimp and Indesign
