AP provides a strong foundation for university
AP offers great flexibility in Grades 11 and 12 (senior AP students can choose the number of AP courses and exams tailored to their post-secondary pathway)
AP exams are a choice and students (not the school) receive the results; students choose whether or not to share these results with a university
AP regional program fee is quite reasonable ($250 per year) due to teacher training (local) and curriculum
Important to research regional programs of interest and choose one that is right for your son/daughter as a learner
Honestly assess your AP readiness (academic and personal considerations); choose a learning environment and a school that is right for you
Use the questionnaire on our school website (jfss.ca)
Discuss with your parents/guardians
Discuss with your Grade 8 teachers
