Make an appointment for an initial interview with a priest or deacon at least six months prior to the anticipated wedding date. There are several classes and workshops that the couple must attend. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level I Catechist Formation Course A

This is a formation experience for Catechists working with children ages 3 to 6. Hosted by Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee and held at Good Shepherd Church 4665 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee. This is a two year training program that requires a commitment for the dates listed:

Week One: July 8-14, 2018 Week Two: June 16-22, 2019

The Lay Formation Institute is an initiative of our

Diocesan vision, the Church Fully Alive. The

Institute prepares the laity for leadership roles in our

parishes and helps lay ministers eventually become

accredited as ministers. The program is also available to

anyone in the diocese to deepen their knowledge of the

faith and the call to be disciples. Institute curriculum is

comprised of online classes through the University of

Dayton, and spiritual and pastoral formation days held

locally. This is a 3 year program. Lay formation Institute

will be holding information evenings on:

Chastity Program

Parents together with their 7 & 8 grade child are invited to Real Love & Real Life Catholic chastity program presented by Family Honor at Corpus Christi in Destin on Saturday, April 28th, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Spend time with each other and discuss God’s gift of sexuality & the real meaning of love. We are excited to welcome our newest members of faith, who entered the church and were fully initiated at the Easter Vigil. Aubrey Borella, Richard Brunson, Megan Sidor, Hannah Perez, Adam Guiles, Alex Hutchinson, Jon Elton Ruble, Davis Sweasy, and Sam Ward spent a year of catechetical and spiritual formation which lead them to answer God’s call to deepen their faith through the help of the Holy Spirit.

The Knights of Columbus Council #7667 is again offering four $1,500 scholarships to deserving graduating seniors who will be continuing their education at a college or university. Seniors should speak to their high school guidance counselor or visit their high school website for a copy of the application. The application may also be found on the Knights of Columbus Council #7667 website at kofc7667.org under the Scholarship Application section. The deadline for submission is 23 April.

There is babysitting available during the 11:00 a.m. Mass

in room 6 of the RE building.

Mark your calendars for our annual parish picnic on Sunday, May 6th, from 12 noon - 3:30 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will provide the meat, drinks and buns. We ask

you to bring a dish to share: vegetable, salad, casserole,

fruit or dessert. There is a sign up sheet located in the admin lobby of the church. Please sign up with the number attending so that the Knights know how much meat to prepare.

Are you curious about sisters? Join us for pizza, prayer and sharing on Friday, April 20 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Pastoral Center in Pensacola. “Revealed” Steubenville Atlanta, July 6-8, 2018

Every summer we join over 3,000 youth from across the southeast for Steubenville Atlanta. This opportunity is for all high school youth in grades 9-12. The cost is $220 and includes meals while at the conference, travel expenses, hotel room and 2 t-shirts!! It does not include meals to and from conference site and anything bought in the bookstore. A $70 deposit is due by 30 April to reserve a spot! The second payment of $75 is due 30 May and the Final payment of $75 is due by the parent meeting in June (date and time TBD).
