GRACE AND ETERNAL LIFE Moses is a man after our own hearts, for haven’t we all dealt with more than our share of stiff-necked people? Indeed, haven’t we all gotten a little stiff-necked ourselves at times? Complain-ing . . . impatient . . . quick to anger. How lucky for Moses—how lucky for all of us—that God is exactly the opposite! And we don’t even have to guess about it. The Lord tells us so directly. Ac-cordingly, Moses does what we all need to do. Even with the tablets in hand, he bows down and asks for God’s forgiveness and grace. Encouraging us to live together in peace—and in God’s favor—the Apostle Paul knows all about this grace, joyfully invoking Christ’s grace on us along with God’s love and the Holy Spirit’s. “Rejoice,” he says. And when it comes to rejoicing, John offers us the gladdest words of all: the assurance of eternal life through Jesus. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

PRAYER TO THE HOLY FAMILY
Lord Jesus Christ, who, being made subject to Mary and Jo-seph did consecrate domestic life by thy ineffable virtues: grant that we, with the assis-tance of both, may be taught by the example of The Holy Fami-ly and may attain to its ever-lasting fellowship. Who lives and reigns world without end. Amen.
A PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my
soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were
already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen. ************************************

ARCHDIOCESAN NEWS
CHANCERY OPERATIONS The Downtown Chancery, St. Dominic Chancery and the Tri-bunal have reopened, however, many staff members are still working from home so the occupancy does not exceed 25 percent. The best way to reach staff is via email or by leaving a voicemail.

IMPOSTER PRIEST EMAIL/TEXTING SCAMS In recent months, there have been numerous reports in Texas of individuals impersonating a parish priest and soliciting donations – normally in the form of gift cards – from mem-bers of their congregation. The Texas Attorney issued a relat-ed consumer alert in regards to these scammers. Please know that priests/churches would never make such appeals to the parish community. If you receive any unfamil-iar donation requests, please notify the church office immedi-ately at 281-426-8448.

ST. MARY SEMINARY COLLECTION June 13-14, 2020
Next Sunday, Corpus Christi Sunday, the Sunday Collection is dedicated for the St. Mary Seminary. Due to the Corona-virus Pandemic and decreases in parish collections, Cardinal DiNardo has said that parishes can keep 10% of the St. Mary Seminary’s Collection. A portion of this collection also goes to the religious order that staffs the parish, The Society of St. Joseph of the Sacred Heart (The Josephites). Please be very generous in your giving.
