SAINT THERESA OF CALCUTTA’S

“ANYWAY PRAYER”

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of

selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; build it anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; give the world the best you’ve got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them

anyway.

Breathe in Love,

Exhale Peace.

PALM SUNDAY Today is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. On this day

we remember Christ’s entrance into Jerusalem to accomplish the Paschal Mystery. The blessing of palms and the procession mark our

entry into Holy Week and the celebration of the Christian Passover. The passion proclaimed on this day is essential to

the Liturgy and cannot be omitted. Lay persons are allowed to do all of the parts, and Father will wear red vestments.

THANK YOU We want to thank everybody at the “Church of the

Visitation” for making the Baptism of Maddox such a special occasion. Our gratitude also to those individuals who helped to make it truly memorable. We will always treasure the memory of Maddox's

Baptism at the “Church of the Visitation”. Thank you very much. Bob and Ingrid Borden

UGANDA SCHOOL PROJECT

Many thank to those parishioners and guests who purchased the jewelry and hand bags made n Uganda which were displayed the past two

Sundays. We also thank Lynne Richardson and non-parishioner Lynn Gillikin who priced , packaged and displayed the items. Many thanks also to those who prepared a delicious breakfast

two Sundays ago as a fundraiser, and the parishioners and guests who generously donated to the cause while enjoying a full and hearty meal. We are not sure we have identified everyone who helped in this

endeavor but the principal chefs and servers were Kathy Kauffman with Grandchildren, Ella and Alex, Mary Ellen Sherwood, Eileen

O’Brien, Barbara Hollingsworth and daughter Tori, Stephanie Selmer, and Roseanne Moncure.

In total, both fundraisers netted about $1900 for the school project.

In a related issue, parishioner Fernando Atienza has written a

newspaper article about the school

project which will be published in the Southside Sentinel

this week.

GOLF CLASSIC As we look forward to warm weather and beautiful golf days, it’s time to be thinking of our annual Golf Classic, now scheduled

for Friday, May 4th, at the Piankatank River Golf Club. We encourage your participation in many ways, perhaps as a golf-er, worker, sponsor, a donor of a silent auction item, or a bidder on one of our items. Gary Richardson is the person to see about playing, working, or sponsoring. His wife Lynne

will run the silent auction, and she is prepared to accept silent auction items. Our silent auction will be held on April 29th, May 6th, and May 13th after Mass.

in your estate for your church. We invite you to join us for a free, informational

benefit our parish. Legacy gifts are an important part of preserving our Catholic heritage and strengthening the future of our parish.

Sychterz. Per Father’s instruction and Diocesan practice, all parishioners and spouses who have access to the church (possess a key) and have not attended the seminar previously must attend.
