A dual degree program involves the packaging together of existing programs of study at two institutions. Graduates gain two separate qualifications, one from the University of Melbourne and one from the partner
institution.

Studying at Bocconi: degree requirementsBocconi will award MBS students 60 ECTs credit towards the MSc Marketing Management for studies completed at MBS.
Students must complete:o 5 core subjects:
Channel Marketing; Market Research; Product Innovation and Market Creation; Understanding Consumer Module 2; Brand Management.
o 2 language courses:Italian + another EU language. This requirement may be waived if you can demonstrate that you already speak 2 EU languages that are not your native tongue.
o A 10-week internship: This may be taken in a non-Italian location, but must not commence before the end of June, 2018.
o A research thesis:NOTE: Completion of the research thesis may extend a student’s stay in Milan beyond 1 year.

Studying at HEC Montréal: degree requirementsHEC Montréal awards MIB students 50 points (15 HEC credits) towards the Montréal MSc Global Supply Chain Management
Students must complete:
o 7 subjects:Planning and Control of Logistics Systems, Supply Chain Management, Internationalization of the Firm, Transportation Systems, Economic and Corporate Organization, Managing International Business Networks, Supply Chain Management: Fundamentals and Trends
o A Supervised ProjectStudents must complete a supervised project as part of their degree. NOTE: Completion of the project may extend students’ stay in Montréal beyond 2 Semesters. (Expect to spend 1 full year abroad).

o Students chose from 5 types of supervised project
o Projects can be completed at the university, or in an external organisation
o Usually undertaken full-time in the summer semester after completion of coursework subjects
o Can be completed in Australia, but must be supervised by HEC Montréal
o Students wishing to do their project in an organisation in Quebec must be able to speak French!

FBE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for entry to an MIB dual degree program students must:
o Achieve a minimum 70% WAM in their MIB subjects
o Submit a Personal Statement o Have successfully completed 100
points of study in the MIB by the time of departure
o Meet the partner university's entry requirements
o 200 point MIB students: complete 1.5 years of study at MBS and 1 year at the partner institution = 2.5 years of full time study
o 150 point MIB students: complete 1 year at MBS and 1 year at the partner institution = 2 years of full time study

Bocconi will select the successful students based on: o Grade Point Averageo Curriculum Vitae
*MIB Dual Degree applicants are not required to submit GMAT or GRE test scores as part of the application process.

Fee arrangements:o MIB students undertaking a Dual Degree at
Bocconi continue to pay tuition fees at Melbourne.
o Pay a €400 graduation fee to Bocconi.o MIB students undertaking a Dual Degree at
HEC Montreal must pay tuition fees directly to HEC Montreal.

Funding:o Students MUST have sufficient funds to
finance their study and living costs abroado Dual Degree students will be eligible to
apply for a Melbourne Global Grant of up to $2,500. However, funding is awarded on the basis of academic merit (GPA of 75+% required) and is subject to availability.
o Note: Dual degree students do not meet eligibility for government OS-HELP loans.

o The MIB program director may conduct a short interview with shortlisted applicants
o MBS approval will be confirmed in January 2019o MBS will nominate successful candidates to the partner institutionso MBS approved applicants then commence the partner institution

MIB study plan for dual degree studentso 200 point and 150 point MIB students must have successfully completed
100 points of study in the MIB by the time of departure to the partner institution
o To meet MIB degree requirements, students enrolled in the 200 point and 150 point MIB programs must complete:
✓ All foundation and core subjects
✓ MGMT90146 Strategic Management
o Students approved to undertake a dual degree are exempted from taking IBUS90001 Global Corporate Strategy (usually required in the final semester of
study)
o Do not take any MIB elective subjects
