May Newsletter FROM THE PRESIDENT…… The President’s Luau was well attended and even though the weather wasn’t the greatest, the turnout was very nice! Thanks to everyone who came! Laura and I would also like to thank Adessa and her staff, Chef Kasey and his crew, along with Mike and Jay for the evening entertainment. We hope everyone had a good time! May is shaping up to be a busy month of events as golf season gets into full swing! Waren and his crew have been busy getting the course into playing shape, and things have been moving along, weather permitting. A proposed project from last year the board considered was replacing the overhang/awning coming into the clubhouse. We decided to table that project for now, because of the significant cost. With our 5 year plan of addressing our clubhouse needs with renovations, we felt like this project should be considered when we are ready for the clubhouse renovations. Two things that will hopefully be addressed in near term is replacing the front door and updating the entire sound system. If you have any suggestions or comments that are constructive for the board to consider, please feel free to reach out to any of the board members. Just a reminder, Devin Anderson, Ryan Elwood, Linda Frick, Justin Dietrich, Tracey Grotenhuis, Dan Megard and I are this year’s board. FROM THE COURSE...................... We are off to another slow start this year

and it is obvious that we did suffer some

winter kill but we are well on our way to

recovering the playing surface. Some

normal temperatures will speed the process

up.

Projects have been getting checked off the

list in April including some more tee sign

landscaping and some landscaping around

the power poles.

This month we are concentrating on

growing in our dead areas, cleaning the

pool, and planting our annuals. We

continue to chop down trees as time allows.
