The questionnaire is intended for research purposes

only, and may not be used for diagnostic or clinical

use. By "diagnostic or clinical" it is meant that the

SOC score cannot be the basis of any kind of

physical, mental, cognitive, social or emotional

diagnosis or assessment of the respondent, and

cannot direct therapeutic or medical decisions of

any kind.

New phenomenon has emerged: The SOC scale is, without permission, used to evaluate interventions and activities.

Reliability: SOC-29 test-retest correlations range from 0.69 to 0.78 (1 year), 0.64 (3

years), 0:42 to 00:45 (4 years), 0:59 to 0.67 (5 years) and finally 0:54 after the 10-year

follow-up. The internal consistency measured by Cronbach’s alpha ranges from 0.70 to

0.95 using SOC-29 (124 studies), 0.70 to 0.92 (127 studies) using SOC-13 (ibid, p.

463). The sense of coherence scale shows high internal consistency.

Salutogenesis is more than the sense of coherence

We have to look behind the facade and identify salutogenic factors in the environment and abilities of people

What is the soul of salutogenesis?

The epistomological

knowledge is unclear

THE SALUTOGENIC UMBRELLA

Measuring SOC – what is the benefit of that?

Development of new measures?

Interventions are called for - How do we strengthen the SOC? New GRRs and SSRs?

Measuring Salutogenesis?

What does it mean to salutogenic?

Developing salutogenic health indicators?
