Dear chemicals community,

It is my pleasure to invite you to join a highly

concentrated group of decision makers, infl uencers

and experts driving the Middle East petrochemical and

fertilizer industries forward at MECW 2011, taking place

from 16-19 October in Abu Dhabi.

Why MECW?

We are proud to bring to you an independent and

interactive platform where you can gain insight into

alternative approaches to common challenges, the

freedom to explore controversial issues affecting the

region, and an environment where you can easily meet

the most important individuals for your business.

Petchem Arabia will address the attractiveness of the

Middle East to foreign investors, GCC’s relationship

with India and China, future of exports, feedstock and

manpower challenges, technology innovations and

supply chain optimisation as a competitive advantage.

Pre and post conference focus days will cover building

a sustainable downstream industry in the GCC and

catalyst innovations for the petrochemical industry.

The Middle East Fertilizer Symposium will address

feedstock challenges, increased competition from

organic fertilizers, environmental considerations, need

for more sustainable technology solutions for the

future and how to improve energy effi ciency within

existing plants. Pre and post conference focus days

will cover the development of gasifi cation technologies

and catalyst innovations for the fertilizer industry.

Exhibition

For 2011, MECW returns to Abu Dhabi, where for the

fi rst time it will be held in ADNEC. An exhibition will

run alongside the conference offering an exciting

opportunity to examine the latest solutions hitting the

market under one roof.

Awards

And fi nally, let’s not forget the inaugural

MECW 2011 awards, offi cially endorsed by Middle East Refi ning and Petrochemicals magazine, celebrating

outstanding achievements in the petrochemical and

fertilizer sectors in style.

On behalf of the MECW speaker panel, we look

forward to welcoming you to Abu Dhabi for the Middle

East’s most stimulating petrochemical and fertilizer

discussions.

Dominica AndrewsProject Director, MECW 2011

MECW 2011 incorporates Petchem Arabia and the Middle East Fertilizer Symposium.

These conferences will run simultaneously and

participants will have access to all sessions. This

enables you to gain insight into new approaches to

common challenges facing the petrochemical and

fertilizer industries.

MECW 2011 features an exhibition where state of the

art technology innovations will be showcased.

MECW will draw from international expertise to realise

the potential of the Middle East markets through

diversifi cation, strategic partnerships, and technical

know-how.
