SIXTH FORM MAGAZINE ANALYSIS

◦Suffolk One College sixth form in Ipswich, Suffolk magazine.

Masthead: ‘ one’ the masthead is of a simplistic sans serif font and colour, to draw more attention to the image than the title, this is also seen as the main image is covering a bit of the mast head.

Dateline: the dateline states it is the 2015 edition which tells us this is an annual magazine.

Main Image: the main image is of a girl taken from a mid shot, the image takes up the majority of the page.

The main cover line is again written in a simplistic sans serif font although this time it is in capitals drawing the readers attention to the main story the magazine has to offer.

Keeping with simplistic cover, the layout and colours of the contents page is very minimalistic.

The images give the reader an idea of the articles to come. The font on the contents page is sans serif again, the ‘WELCOME’ has been written in couples to add a warmth to the magazine as well as being welcoming to readers.

Some important page numbers with main articles have been identified in a bold larger font so they stand out and catch the readers eye.

The sideways layout of this page is very effective as it draws the readers attention and it also makes this page very appealing to look at.

The colours in this page are very plain and neutral this draws more attention to the actual contents of the magazine then the attractiveness.
